Welcome to my virtual bakery, where I sell my gluten-free, grain-free, paleo and dairy-free flour and mixes. For years I’ve been asked to blend my flour and mixes for my readers, who either can’t find certain ingredients—or the time—to make the flour and mixes at home. I affectionately named the company Cooking for Isaiah® after my now 19-year-old son Isaiah, who was diagnosed with gluten intolerance and dairy intolerance in 2007. The recipes in my first cookbook, the best-selling COOKING FOR ISAIAH: GLUTEN-FREE & DAIRY-FREE RECIPES FOR EASY, DELICIOUS MEALS, were inspired by our journey as a family in our new gluten-free, dairy-free world.
WHO IS SILVANA NARDONE?
I’m the best-selling author of COOKING FOR ISAIAH: GLUTEN-FREE & DAIRY-FREE RECIPES FOR EASY, DELICIOUS MEALS and the just-released cookbook, SILVANA’S GLUTEN-FREE AND DAIRY-FREE KITCHEN: TIMELESS FAVORITES TRANSFORMED. I’m also an online food columnist for Food & Wine and a regular contributor to Food Network.com, TastingTable.com and the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA). Previously, I was the founding editor-in-chief of Every Day with Rachael Ray magazine and the owner of an Italian bakery, Fanciulla. WHERE ARE THE FLOUR AND MIXES MADE?
They are blended in a facility in New York, which is certified gluten-free by the Celiac Sprue Association, whose verification must show the final product has less than 5 ppm quantifiable gluten.
ARE THE FLOURS AND STARCHES USED IN THE FLOUR AND MIXES CERTIFIED GLUTEN-FREE?
Yes, all of the flours and starches are certified gluten-free.
ARE THE FLOUR AND MIXES ALLERGEN FREE?
Yes, all of the flours and mixes are free of the most common food allergens in the United States called the Big-8 Food Allergens—wheat, dairy, soy, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, fish and shellfish. Also, they are free of preservatives, artificial flavors and artificial colors.
ARE THE FLOUR AND MIXES VEGAN?
Yes, all of the flours and mixes are vegan. My recipes are not egg-free; however, you can use your preferred egg substitutes.
WHEN WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED?
Orders received by 3:00PM Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday, will be shipped on the same day whenever possible. Orders received after 5:00PM Eastern Standard Time and on weekends and holidays will be shipped the following business day.
